Despite
being limited by the fact that the works commissioned were of
an exclusively religious and ritual character, the artists of
ancient Peru created a surprising variety of stylistic solutions
which succeeded in combining compression with the "self-sufficient
line", the horror vacui with idealised naturalism and with cubism.
Now, finally, it is possible to discover the currents, the schools,
the workshops and the masters who were the protagonists of this
extraordinary experience.
