Despite being limited by the fact that the works commissioned were of an exclusively religious and ritual character, the artists of ancient Peru created a surprising variety of stylistic solutions which succeeded in combining compression with the "self-sufficient line", the horror vacui with idealised naturalism and with cubism. Now, finally, it is possible to discover the currents, the schools, the workshops and the masters who were the protagonists of this extraordinary experience.
